Completing Training

TIDALBAY assigns security awareness training based on your risk profile. Completing training improves your security score and helps protect you and your organization from threats.

Viewing Assigned Training

From the Employee Portal, navigate to My Training to see your training assignments:

• Assigned modules: Training courses assigned to you
• Due date: Deadline for completion
• Status: Not started, in progress, or completed
• Score impact: Points you will earn upon completion

Types of Training

Micro-Learning Modules

Short, focused modules covering specific topics:

• Phishing awareness (5–10 minutes)
• Password best practices (5 minutes)
• Safe browsing habits (5–10 minutes)
• Social engineering awareness (10 minutes)
• Data handling and privacy (10 minutes)

Comprehensive Courses

Longer training covering broader security topics:

• Security awareness fundamentals (30–45 minutes)
• Advanced phishing defense (20–30 minutes)
• Compliance and data protection (30 minutes)

Just-in-Time Training

Short lessons triggered immediately after a security event:

• Phishing click intervention (2–3 minutes)
• MFA importance refresher (2 minutes)
• Device security reminder (2 minutes)

Completing a Module

1. Click on the assigned module to open it
2. Work through the lesson content at your own pace
3. Complete the assessment quiz (if required)
4. Your score is updated automatically upon completion

Assessments

Some modules include an assessment quiz:

• Passing score is typically 80% or higher
• Failed assessments can be retaken after a cooldown period
• Assessment results do not negatively impact your score
• Passing the assessment is required to earn the completion bonus

Overdue Training

Training that is not completed by its due date:

• Generates a "training overdue" event (-10 points)
• Triggers a reminder notification to you and your manager
• Remains assigned until completed
